Class Description – Hazard Class 4.2
Hazard Class 4.2 includes substances that may self-heat when exposed to air under normal environmental conditions and can eventually ignite without an external ignition source. Oxidation processes generate heat, which can accumulate and result in spontaneous combustion if not adequately dissipated.
These hazardous materials require special precautions during transportation, handling, and storage, as even relatively small quantities may present a significant fire hazard.
