ADR-Compliant Marking for Safe Road Transport

The European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) sets strict requirements for the marking of transport units and packages. Complete ADR marking is a legal requirement designed to reduce risks to people and the environment during road transport. We offer a specialized product range including hazardous goods labels, UN number labels, tank vehicle markings, and shipping labels. Our solutions help ensure that all packages, intermediate bulk containers, and vehicles comply with current road transport regulations.

Comprehensive Range of ADR Labels for All Dangerous Goods Classes

An effective ADR label must remain clearly visible even under challenging conditions such as rain, heat, frost, and prolonged UV exposure. That is why our labels are manufactured from weather- and light-resistant materials with high-performance adhesives. They adhere reliably to rough surfaces, metal containers, and cardboard packaging without detaching during transport. Whether for individual packages or complete load units, our marking products are designed for maximum readability and help you meet the requirements of inspections carried out by transport authorities and law enforcement agencies.

ADR Marking Requirements for Flammable Liquids

The road transport of flammable liquids is governed by the provisions of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR). When transporting flammable liquids, transport units and packages must be marked with the Class 3 hazard label. This label features a flame symbol on a red background and indicates the high fire risk associated with the cargo. Where substances are additionally classified as environmentally hazardous, the fish and tree environmental hazard mark must also be displayed. This is often required when transporting fossil fuels or chemical mixtures in larger quantities.

Requirements for Fuel Tank Vehicles

Specialized vehicles such as petrol and diesel tankers are subject to additional equipment and marking requirements. In addition to the Class 3 placards displayed on the sides and rear of the vehicle, and where applicable the environmental hazard mark, orange warning plates must also be fitted. The specific ADR marking required for transporting flammable liquids by road depends on the transport method. While packaged goods transport often uses plain orange plates, tank vehicles require numbered plates displaying the hazard identification number (for example, 30 or 33 for highly flammable liquids) and the relevant UN number (such as UN 1203 for petrol or UN 1202 for diesel).
