This tank wagon film serves as the basis for the legally required orange warning panel according to ADR.
The upper field is for the hazard identification number, the lower field for the UN number of the transported substance.
Packaging unit
The ADR warning panels are supplied as single-sheet stickers. Each sticker is individually manufactured for you using the screen printing process, hence the minimum order quantity of 100 pieces.
If you need fewer or a different imprint, please contact our team.
For optimal storage and to protect the adhesive surface, they are safely packed in units of 100 pieces. This packaging unit ensures long shelf life, clean removal and reliably protects the films from dust, moisture, and mechanical influences.
Layout
The orange warning panel complies with ADR regulations and is designed in a clearly structured, two-part layout. The upper field is intended for the hazard identification number, while the lower field provides space for the UN number.
For legally compliant marking, the UN numbers must have a character height of 10 cm. The warning panel must be mounted perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the transport unit to ensure optimal visibility and legibility during transport.
Screen-printed stickers – the first choice when quality and durability matter.
Screen printing is the first choice for industrial hazardous substance stickers.
Thanks to particularly thick ink layers and UV-stable colors, our stickers are:
- extremely durable and abrasion-resistant,
- light- and colorfast,
- ideal for maritime environments, outdoor storage, and transport containers.
Even after prolonged exposure to weather, the labels remain legible, high-contrast, and legally compliant.
ADR Chapter 5.3.2.2.2 ff – No problem for us
The hazard identification number and the UN number consist of black digits with a character height of 100 mm and a stroke width of 15 mm. The hazard identification number must be in the upper part, the UN number in the lower part of the panel; they must be separated by a horizontal black line with a stroke width of 15 mm in the middle of the panel.
The hazard identification number and the UN number must be indelible and still legible after 15 minutes of fire exposure.
Tolerance: All specified dimensions may have a tolerance of ±10%.
Application instructions
For secure and permanent adhesion, the ADR warning panel should be applied to a clean, dry, and grease-free surface.
Before installation, it is recommended to ensure the ambient temperature and the substrate temperature are at at least +10 °C to guarantee optimal adhesive strength.
-
Preparation:
Clean the application surface thoroughly from dust, oil, wax, and other residues. Use a suitable cleaning agent.
-
Positioning:
Align the warning panel perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the transport unit, as required by ADR regulations.
-
Application:
Peel off the backing paper piece by piece and press the self-adhesive back evenly onto the surface.
Ideally, use a scraper to avoid air bubbles and ensure even pressure.
-
Post-treatment:
Check that all edges are firmly attached. Avoid contact with water or strong temperature fluctuations during the first 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
By following these steps, you ensure that the self-adhesive ADR warning panel adheres optimally, remains durable, and meets all legal requirements.
Storage instructions
For long-lasting durability of the labels, please observe the following storage recommendations:
- Temperature: 18 – 24 °C
- Humidity: 40 – 55 %
- Light protection: Protect from direct sunlight
- Packaging: Store in original packaging to maintain adhesive strength and color quality
